Driving to the Eiffel Tower

Traffic on the Champs-Élysées

Think of driving in Paris and the first image that springs to mind is probably of cars crawling around the Arc de Triomphe, and it is true that travelling by car in the city can at times be as much of a minefield as in London or New York! Traffic is a consistent problem and tourists are advised to stick to the Métro where possible, as trying to find a parking space can be quite a challenge, not to mention stressful and expensive! However if you are driving into the city from a nearby town or are used to driving in Paris, there are a few car parks in the vicinity of the Eiffel Tower where you can safely leave your car for the day or just for a few hours. Be sure to arrive as early as possible, as they can get full quickly during peak season.

Here is our list of recommended car parks in the area:

  • Quai Branly car park – 25 Quai Branly. Situated 300m from the Tower, it has a tariff of €3,20 per hour, €22 for 10 hours or €25 for 24 hours.
  • Joffre École Militaire – 2 Place Joffre. Charges €3 per hour or €29 for 24 hours.
